Bassett Unified School District and the County of Los Angeles have partnered to bring treated stormwater projects to the forefront…or, in this case, underground. This strategy will improve water quality of our waterways by directing flows into an underground infiltration basin to increase our local water supply. Students will also enjoy enhanced athletic fields and new educational gardens with drought resistant plants and trees to provide shade and cooling effects. A portion of the Bassett High School athletic field is proposed to be opened up for public use as a new pocket park. We are requesting your input in the design of this pocket park to maximize its potential as a new community asset.
