Our Principal

 

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

My name is Marco Leal, the proud principal at Edgewood Academy, home of the BRAVE Knights. I have been in education for over 20 years: as a tutor, teacher and administrator.  It is an honor to serve the La Puente community, the city I grew up in.

 

Here at Edgewood Academy, the staff are dedicated to promoting a safe learning environment for our students, create balanced academic and social emotional opportunities to aide them in reaching their full potential and help them become life-long learners.  We are the College Bound BRAVE Knights!

 

A few reminders to start off the school year:

• School begins on Monday, August 12 at 8:15am
• We are a uniform school (khaki or navy blue pants, and white, navy blue, light blue or burgundy polo shirt)
• Please drive safely and obey all traffic signs.  All exits from the parking lots are right turn only.

 

This year, the focus will be Literacy!  We encourage the entire family to take part in the amazing world of READING.  All year long we will be encouraging students and families to read, read, READ!
