Thanks to Kaiser Permanente's Hippocrates Circle Program, our 7th and 8th-grade students had an opportunity to participate in a live demonstration of a heart direction, a medical student advisory panel discussion, and a tour of USC's Keck School of Medicine!

There will be no school from November 22 through November 26 in observance of Thanksgiving.

We are taking extra measures to ensure that everyone is safe in our parking lots. Please be very careful and drive slowly to avoid accidents when entering and exiting. Please follow the directions provided by our campus monitor and safety monitors.

November is Native American Heritage Month! The Associated Student Body of Edgewood, under the leadership of Mr. Daniel Munoz, will be holding a schoolwide event on Nov. 19, 2021 at Edgewood Academy.

Edgewood Academy's ASB is holding a See's Candy Fundraiser to help raise money for student activities, functions, and gear.

Bassett Unified will have a COVID19 vaccine clinic coming on November 10th at Sunkist Elementary. Walk-ins are welcomed. The vaccine administration will be for students ages 12 and up.

As of the second week of October, several of our Edgewood Academy teachers will begin to do after-school tutoring twice a week. Please contact your student's teacher to find out more information.

Students will bring membership forms to you this week from Edgewood Academy to join our PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association).
We invite every parent, teacher and neighbor to join with PTSA, as we work to make Edgewood Academy the best it can be for our students…our most precious resource.

During the week of October 12th, we celebrated Hispanic Heritage Awareness Month by having a gallery walk in our cafeteria. Check out some of the pictures of our displays!

Students and staff are encouraged to wear orange on Unity Day, October 20, 2021, to support anti-bullying across our school. Students will also have an opportunity to pledge to

• support others who have been hurt or harmed
• treat others with kindness
• be more accepting of people’s differences
• help include those who are left out
