hello Brave Nate families as we prepare to welcome or brave knight students back to in-person learning I wanted to take a moment to share a few things you should know to help with the students return and ensure that our entire Edgewood Community stay safe as we begin in person hybrid learning while things may look very different on campus we're looking forward to seeing you all back on Campus Learning with your teachers and peers on our return day all students will return to new schedule all students returning to campus are assigned to do to a stable group in which students remain the same or to a distance learning group stable group a will be in person on Mondays and Tuesdays stable Group B will be in food on Thursdays and Fridays distance learning students will be learning virtually Monday through Friday all students will be in the distance learning model on Wednesdays please remember to drop off and pick up your child on time due to social distancing guidelines we will not have students on campus prior to 7:55 a.m. in the morning we will have to drop off tribal areas on campus are first one will be on Fairgrove Avenue and the drop-off will occur at the front gate on Willow the gate closest to the first grade classrooms will be open if you're driving your child to school please child remain in the car until staff have cleared your child all students will be given a quick health screening and have their temperature taken any students with a temperature above 100 will not be allowed to enter campus please remind your child to bring drastic campus each day staff and students will be required to wear masks at all times while on campus except during designated Max brakes after students are screened and cleared to come onto campus the staff will be available to direct things to their classrooms students will walk directly to their classroom for students in TK and Kinder a staff member will be available to walk students to their classrooms as needed teachers will be in their classrooms ready for their students at 7 55 each morning older students may walk their younger sibling to class prior to heading to their own classroom students will be dismissed at their dismissal gate from the gate closest to their classrooms students that have siblings in younger grade are allowed to exit from their siblings gate please inform your child's teacher if you will be having your child exit from a different gate we also asked its students arrive at their designated time do the social distancing requirements parents and students will not be permitted to gather on campus before or after class safety is always the utmost priority we want to make sure that all of our texts between Ed stay safe and healthy I want to thank you for your commitment to making this happen safety is also a key feature in our classrooms all desks are socially distant and have been equipped with dust Shields other safety features include hands down a is there an upgraded filters and an air purifier in each room teachers will review proper mask-wearing ensure breaks for students and review social distancing protocols students will practice hand-washing protocols in the classroom restrooms once again our emphasis is on safety on our campus you will see added features to ensure social distancing and safety directional hallways social distancing signs and markers and new Craigslist water refill stations are some of those new features you'll see our campus in addition to their masks we asked you didn't to bring a water bottle that can be refilled all drinking fountains are currently turned off to ensure safety playground equipment will not be available for student use at this time any students who have coed like symptoms or illness will be escorted to a separate location to wait for their parents to pick them up a staff member will be with them this will be contacted and are expected to pick up their child immediately daily cleaning will occur in each classroom restrooms and high frequency areas will be clean throughout the day deep cleaning will occur on Wednesdays and Fridays between stable groups to thoroughly sanitize the room lunch and breakfast will not be eating on campus a grab-and-go lunch and breakfast will be provided at the student classroom at the end of the day as they are leading campus for students distance learning weekly mailboxes will continue to be provided on Thursdays parent Volunteers in class room visits are not permitted at this time to keep everyone safe we ask that you call that front office assistance at 626-931-7808 we will be sharing or Edgewood reopening Playbook with all family so that Oliver Edgewood Community continues to be safe in The Playbook you will find all of the protocols to ensure our students and staff stay safe if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact the front office we're here for you in Bassett USD our number one priority remains to health the safety of our students staff and Community all of our staff at Edgewood Academy are so excited to have our students back on campus we have taken many measures to ensure our students and staff have a safe school. With all of the Odyssey key protocol someplace we aim to minimize the risk to students staff and families and have a safe return to school thank you for your continued support during distance learning and as we transition back to in-person learning please know that we're doing everything in our power make sure that all of our Edgewood Community stay safe thank you for your patience and flexibility we've missed having you on our campus and can't wait to have you back at school learning in person take care of Brave knights we will see you soon
